Camping

 

Jämsä is located in southern Central Finland, surrounded by all necessities and excellent transport links. It’s easy to arrive at the Himos-Jämsä region with a caravan or motorhome to enjoy the beautiful Lakeland nature. For camping, options include various sites in the Jämsä area such as Rasua Camping, Rantapirtti, and Karijärvi Camping. Come and experience our region’s camping offerings!

Rasua Camping is located just a few minutes’ drive from the Jämsänkoski urban area and about 15-20 minutes from the center of Jämsä. The Rasua Camping area has 14 cabins equipped with beds, a refrigerator, and a heater. The cabins are situated close to the service building, which includes toilets, showers, and a kitchen. There are about 40 places for recreational vehicles, and they are available year-round. Address: Koskenpääntie 383, Jämsänkoski.

 

Kievari Rantapirtti offers accommodation in rooms or the option to stay at the campsite. During the summer, camping cabins are also available. The area provides the unique opportunity to sauna in the world’s first barrel sauna! Address: Petäjävedentie 448, Koskenpää.

 

Karijärvi Camping is a scenic and peaceful campsite on the border of Jämsä and Kuhmoinen. Services include organizing wilderness, fishing, and berry-picking trips upon request. Karijärvi Camping has a chemical toilet emptying station and a waste disposal point for motorhomes. Address: Karijärventie 100, Jämsä.

Travel Parks

Jämsän Jokiranta is located by the beautiful Jämsänjoki River in the Seppola harbor, close to the amenities of Jämsä’s town center. The travel park’s services include a chemical toilet emptying station, a water point, toilets, showers, and a paid laundry facility.

The Jämsä Christian School Travel Park offers caravan, motorhome, and tent sites, as well as maintenance services for vehicles. The travel park is located on the grounds of the Jämsä Christian Folk High School and is a completely substance-free area. The travel park is open in the summer.

Majatalo Villanen‘s travel park is located immediately adjacent to Highway 9 in Länkipohja, halfway between Jyväskylä and Tampere.
