Camping
Jämsä is located in Southern Central Finland in the Finnish heartland, right next to the best roads. The region is easily accessible by mobile home or caravan – drive right in to any camping area and enjoy the beauty of Lakeland nature. Himos area offers two caravan areas for camping. Other camping areas are located in other parts of Jämsä. In Rantapirtti and Karijärvi Camping also sleeping in a tent is possible for alternative nature night experience. The Himos-Jämsä region invites all caravanners and campers to come and enjoy what we have on offer!
Caravan areas in Himos
Himos – Yhtiöt Oy have caravan sites. There are 120 caravan places in Western Himos and 30 places available in Northern Himos for rent. The caravan places are available to rent either for daily or seasonal use. There are chemical toilet drains in the west and north Himos. Season place 15.10.2022 – 2.5.2023
Camping areas
Kievari Rantapirtti offers rooms to rent and possibilities for camping in their camping area. During summer time camping cottages are also available. Inquiries and reservations: +358 14 767116, +358 400 323854. Petäjävedentie 448, Koskenpää.
Karijärvi Camping is scenic and peaceful camping area between Jämsä and Kuhmoinen. Inquiries and reservations: +358 440 241 727. Karijärventie 90, Jämsä.
Rasua Camping is located just 15-20 minutes by car from the center of Jämsä at Koskenpääntie 383, Jämsänkoski. Inquiries: camping.rasua@gmail.com.
