Transport connections
Himos-Jämsä is located in the province of Central Finland on the west coast of Päijänne-lake and close to the biggest cities of Southern Finland. Thanks to its location, Jämsä has good transport connections. Road traffic from Jyväskylä, Tampere and Lahti meets in Jämsä at the junction of highways 9 and 24. It is also easy to get to Jämsä by public transportation. The railway connection between Tampere and Jyväskylä runs through Jämsä. There are several train and bus services in both directions almost daily. The train station is located on the western edge of the city and the bus station right in the center, just over a kilometer apart.
