The beaches in the Himos-Jämsä region and the local indoor swimming pool offer splendid swimming options for water lovers both large and small. Jämsä is located in the middle of the most wonderful part of Lakeland Finland. In summer, you can enjoy the beach vibe at any of the area’s many beaches. Jämsä has over 400 lakes, of which the largest are Päijänne and Längelmävesi, whose beaches draw many in to enjoy the pleasant summer days.

There’s also plenty of splashing going down all year round in Jämsä’s local indoor swimming pools. In the Koskikara swimming pool, swimmers get to enjoy the therapy pool, children’s pool and exercise pool.

Jämsä’s numerous beaches invite holidaymakers to enjoy a sunny summer day and the relaxed beach vibe. In the summer, you can even enjoy some swimming while out shopping, at the Maauimala beach. There’s plenty of splashing going down all year round in Jämsä’s local indoor swimming pools. In the Koskikara swimming pool, swimmers get to enjoy the therapy pool, children’s pool and exercise pool. The shower rooms have both a normal sauna and a steam sauna. In winter there is also the option of ice hole swimming.
