Downhill skiing
The skiing slopes of Himos are one of the most popular travel destinations in southern and central Finland. Himos has 26 illuminated slopes suitable for almost all levels of difficulty with 16 lifts. The ski season usually starts in mid-December and continues until May Day. Beginners should practice on the easy slopes of Himoslumila, experienced people can test their skills on the black slopes and in Lumipuisto. In the ski school, it is safe for adults and children to learn to become skilful skiers. There is enough to do for the whole day in the snow world of Lumila for the whole family. In addition to carpet lifts, Lumila has ski slopes, a playground and a canopy. Under the slopes of Himos, a short distance from the slopes, there is a spacious, free parking lot. In addition to the electricity poles in the caravan area, charging points for electric cars will be installed on the western slopes. Come conquer the slopes of Himos and enjoy a winter day!
Ski slopes
Himos has ski slopes to suit everyone. Himos offers ski slope fans the largest and most diverse skiing centre in South and Central Finland. In the slope info you will find the opening hours of the slopes and lifts.
HimosLumila
The new, approximately two hectare wide Himos’s Snow fun family area guarantees plenty of activies to do all day long! In addition to the lifts, there are hills on the skis, boards, sledding or tubing tires. Inside the area you will find Troll Slopes, a former toboggan run, ski slopes and much more nice! You can get to Lumila with a valid lift ticket.
Restaurants on the slopes
In the midst of a snowy winter day, you can enjoy the delicacies of the Slope restaurants located at the slopes. The food on offer includes delicious hamburger meals as well as generous buffet options.
Restaurant Rinne
Ravintola Rinne, located right at the foot of Länsi-Himos, has a total of three restaurants. Buffet restaurant feeds appetites with a lavish selection of the main courses, side dishes and salads, all made using the best ingredients. Choose your own favorite options and enjoy your unique meal. Craving a burger? How about satisfying your hunger at the hamburger restaurant Burger Rinne. The outdoor jacuzzi in the sauna section of Ravintola Rinne has a wonderful view of the ski slopes – not forgetting the fun After Ski!!
Ski rental and ski services
At the base of Himos’s Western Slopes and Northern Slopes, there is a ski rental where you can obtain equipment for skiing and snowboarding. Close to the rental stores at the Waste Slopes and the North Slopes, there are also ski service. The actual ski care service operates as part of the Western Slopes rental store, and the service is used for regular maintenance of the rental store’s equipment. You can also bring your own skis or snowboard to the care service!
Caravan park
Himos’s caravan parks are located at the foot of the Western and Northern Slopes. There are 120 caravan places in the West Himos and 30 caravan places on the North Himos, both for seasonal and daily rentals.
