Gallery Kivipankki

Jämsän sydän logoDiverse art exhibitions and events – the Jämsä City Gallery Kivipankki offers monthly exhibitions around the year. In the summer, the gallery displays the international felt exhibition.

Gallery Kivipankki was built in 1913 and designed by the architect Ilmari Launis. At first, the building housed the Jämsä Savings Bank, but in 1993 it was renovated and turned into a cultural facility for the city. Year after year, the Kivipankki became more and more well-known as an exhibition location for leading Finnish artists. It also started to show environment exhibitions, then later landscape art exhibitions and the summertime international felt exhibitions.

Events held at Gallery Kivipankki include exhibitions, concerts, seminars, private functions, trainings and workshops. The gallery’s activities are administrated by Jämsä’s cultural services. You can find information about current exhibitions from the event calendar and gallery Kivipankki’s Facebook page. The exhibition times are continually available for booking by artists, private individuals, groups and organisations.
